“Tyr Winch strikes me as a balanced choice: the food is reportedly high-end, exceeding typical pub fare, while the rooms maintain a spotless, functional order. I noted some clever space-saving solutions in the rooms, though breakfast options seem a bit limited. It seems the staff truly make the difference, creating a welcoming, memorable stay.”

Acceptable Stay with a Few Issues

nice foodlate night noisebathroom smell
The food in the pub was quite nice.
Late-night noise from the pub was a problem. Early morning glass collection added to the noise. I found it difficult to sleep in. A persistent bathroom smell existed too. It seems like other guests mentioned this as well.

a perfect little gem

beautiful decorattentive staffnoisy time
our expectations were more than met. driving into the car park, i instantly knew i would love it. the staff were attentive and they ensured our stay would be a nice one. there is a beautiful little area outside for a nightcap, seating and benches, covered with perfect lighting and flowers.
being by couple of pubs, 'kick out' time could be noisy. also someone from one pub insists tipping the glass bottles out into recycle glass bin at bang on 7am and shouting across to others. i want a relaxing lie in after working all week.
Rooms
10/10
the accommodation was super clean, with a very tastefully decorated room. this attention to detail followed into the bathroom. there is a "rain forest" mixer shower, superbly tiled throughout and the bed was comfortable.

i dined in the pub, right next door and decor was perfect. browsing the menu, it was full of mouthwatering dishes. each dish had a recommendation on which wine would accompany the meal and staff checked everything was ok.
